QotD is a feature dedicated to answering questions from Piccadilly’s 5 Year Question a Day Memory Journal. The journal states its purpose is to help reflect back on daily routine and to act as a “time capsule” of experiences. As someone who laments their awful memory, I thought this was a wonderful tool and opportunity.

Can you keep a secret?

The short answer: no.

The more complicated answer: depends on the situation. There are some things that I absolutely cannot keep a secret about. I can’t keep a secret from Slade or certain family members. I also cannot keep secrets about certain information at work. Heaven help me try to hide a present from Slade.

If someone ever explicitly tells me to keep something a secret, I am much better about it. Other times, I legitimately just flat out forget what someone told me and, thus, cannot break their confidence.

That being said, I never try to hurt anyone or act maliciously.
