Probably my newest craft would be cross stitch. This is a craft I grew watching both my mother and paternal grandmother doing, and we had multiple framed piece decorating our house. It was something I had always been interested in, but didn’t pick up until covid (and not even because covid was happening.) The first piece is the first one I had ever done. It came as a kit from Walmart and I thought it would be a nice, easy introduction to the craft. While the back looks atrocious, I was so happy with how it turned out, that I knew this would be a craft I would love and continue for a long time.

The second piece is a pattern I found on Etsy. Originally I was just making it to make it. However, my paternal grandmother passed shortly after I completed it and I knew it belonged with her. She never got a chance to see my cross stitch, but I would hope that she would have been proud of me. She always said I was the grandchild most like her,
