QotD is a feature dedicated to answering questions from Piccadilly’s 5 Year Question a Day Memory Journal. The journal states its purpose is to help reflect back on daily routine and to act as a “time capsule” of experiences. As someone who laments their awful memory, I thought this was a wonderful tool and opportunity.

The best kiss I ever had was…

Sigh…I guess because these questions are for February, they all center around love and romance. And while I have nothing against that, I feel like it just makes for boring contact. I am madly in love with my partner Slade, so they are going to be the answer to every questions. Favorite love story? Best kiss? Literally anything to do with love? Slade. They are the answer to everything.

If I wanted to be slightly silly, I could say Benjamin. He was a geriatric pit bull we adopted when he was 8 years old. He had a hard life before we adopted him and we didn’t know he was deaf for the first 6 months we had him. He was the most adorable and I loved him dearly. He only licked my cheek once in the year and a half that we had him, and it was the sweetest, gentlest lick a dog has ever given me. I truly felt honored that day.
