QotD is a feature dedicated to answering questions from Piccadilly’s 5 Year Question a Day Memory Journal. The journal states its purpose is to help reflect back on daily routine and to act as a “time capsule” of experiences. As someone who laments their awful memory, I thought this was a wonderful tool and opportunity.

My favorite love story is between…

My own. None have been more impactful or personal for obvious reasons. I have known my partner all my life, and when we became partners, it felt like the most natural thing in the world, as if I had truly found my other half. We have been through many trials and tribulation, and I would be a liar if I said things have always been perfect. But…we work perfectly together. As someone who is so demisexual, I am essentially asexual, I never though I would ever even find a partner. Before coming together, we were pretty broken on our own, especially from past relationships. But as Kevin Matisyn once sang, “We’re broken but we fit together just right.”
