QotD is a feature dedicated to answering questions from Piccadilly’s 5 Year Question a Day Memory Journal. The journal states its purpose is to help reflect back on daily routine and to act as a “time capsule” of experiences. As someone who laments their awful memory, I thought this was a wonderful tool and opportunity.
What is the biggest question you’ve asked yourself lately?
If I wanted to go back to school to get my Master’s.
Technically, I don’t need my Master’s for the job I currently have. However, if something were to ever happen, it wouldn’t hurt. I want to stay in nursing education as I love being a teacher. However, I genuinely enjoy teaching at the LPN level. I would need my Master’s to teach even associates level nursing or be an nurse educator in the hospital (which I do not want to ever do, I think I am done with hospital setting.)
I genuinely feel this is the field I want to retire in. While I feel I would have no regrets getting my Master’s, a situation could arise where I would regret not getting it.
